Can you give a bath or shower to a pet mouse?

well my pet mouse smells wierd can I give him baths or showers? Can you give a bath or shower to a pet mouse?
Where's your mouse been?!?!Can you give a bath or shower to a pet mouse?
I would not put him in water. It can cause small animals to go into shock and quite frankly, it will make them smell worse.

The best thing is to use a warm, slightly damp cloth to wipe the mouse down. If it continues to smell, something might be wrong and it should see a vet. Rodents are normally very good at keeping themselves clean and when they aren't, it is often signs of health issues.
yup...just don't get it in their eyes or ears...Use the bathroom sink, easier.....Use kitten shampoo...

p.s

Don't use cedar bedding, it has horrible side effects...look up on google about that, many ppl have had there mice die from using such bedding.
No, do not! He could get water up his nose and could die in minutes. There is special spray on shampoo you can buy at the pet store. Clean the cage more often and get litter that is scented or something.

P.S. Mice clean themselves.
Well, I would first check with your vet to make sure it won't hurt the mouse and then if you get the OK go right ahead. I don't know how good the mouse will smell after its wet. You know, like after a dog gets wet, peeyou!
you could probably spray him with a spray bottle gently or mak a very very shallow puddle and wet your fingers and pet your mouse so the fur gets wet . Actually you should go to your local pet store and ask the ppl there.
The mouse will squirm around...it's really hard to give them showers. If you are going to though, make sure none gets into its eyes. And use Johnsons shampoo (tear free) and it will probably poop a lot :P Good Luck
i had a hamster once and i gave him one bath becus i was just bored lol but ntn bad happen to him he lived for 2 years. which is a long time for that species. But u can listen to the guys under me.
no. I would use a tooth-brush and get it slightly wet maybe with a very very small amount of shampoo on it, and rub it in gentley.
hahahah

when i first read this i thought it said pet moose

and i just died laughing, thinking about that

hhahahaha

anyways,

no i wouldnt think so

but try changing the cage more often

or wipe him down with a damp cloth
umm sure with really small bowls and not a lot of water maybe you could put a teensy bit of soap on him and scrub him with a paintbrush.HOPE IT HELPS
Call the vet and ask. You could also call a pet shop like Petsmart or Petco to ask. It could be that you just need to clean out the cage.
It's a ******* mouse it doesn't need a bath/ shower.

But, if you really must... oh wait I forgot its a ******* mouse it doesn't need a shower
get chinchilla bath sand.it removes the oil from the fur. no water- not a good mix w/ mice.
nope, not that I know of! Switch to cedar shavings :)
spray it with perfume...island vibe smells really good
it will make him smell worse trust me rodents dont mix well with ';wet';
umm...... u mite drown it? maybe you should just get a wet cloth and dab it down?
No he will be a smelly wet rat
